Sunny- or our SunnyBunnie Arrived in the US from China this past April. She has been in a foster home for several months building up the strength in her left shoulder and working on behavior and endurance. She completed the full course a few weeks ago and her trainer said she was remarkable. Very smart girl who loves to please. Sunny is also very determined-it might take her a timer to you but she will eventually complete the task. Her incredible foster mom takes her up for 2 to 3 walks per day they are not a long distance but she thoroughly enjoys them. SB has been known to have occasionally just not wanted to go very far -just not in the mood for a walk. She without we hesitation will just plant that hind end & she ain't movin. Last year when she was pulled into safety from a meat truck she had already been injured on her right front leg. The medical care is pretty minimal when they are taken to the temporary shelter environment. UnFortunately she did not get medical treatment in time the wound /injury was too deep and too infected she ended up having the front leg amputated. She is a friendly girl especially to her humans. She gets along with other dogs but the smaller ones sometimes seem to just sort of annoy her. For the past four months she has lived with a 12 pound pet bunny and they seem to be able to coincidence without any problems and respect each other's space. According to the medical records which were sent with her upon arrival she has been determined to be approximately five years old. Is spayed she is fully vaccinated. She is heartworm negative. She is house trained, knows basic commands. Had a dental cleaning recently has some very worn teeth. She is not a picky eater and she does enjoy string cheese. She would do best in a home without any stairs or maybe one or two upon entry. She is a clean dog she enjoys laying on her pillow or even out on the grass. Loves to go for car rides-she is a people pleaser. Sunny is currently in the Salt Lake City, Utah area in a foster home. Upon an approved adoption application transport will be discussed/ arranged. She would be great in a home where her new family was not super active but enjoyed going for short stroll's and even worked from home. Her Adoption Fee is $300. We do feel it best though that our dogs go out on a foster to adopt arrangement -she would be able to spend a couple of weeks in her new home adjusting before we would complete the adoption process. ☀️ Sunny girl deserves a home of her own and a family to love her forever. ddeserves toget that perfect forever home Applications are located on the website- saveasam.org.
